Privacy Policy
The short version
EditLab Tracker does not collect any data. Nothing you do in the app is sent anywhere. There are no analytics, no telemetry, no accounts, no advertising and no third-party SDKs of any kind.
What the app stores, and where
Everything the app keeps stays on your own device:
- Songs you save are written to files you choose, in the location you choose, using the standard macOS save panel. They are
.eltrkfiles, which are plain JSON. - Audio you import — records, samples — is read from files you choose, and is stored inside your song file. It is never uploaded.
- Preferences and recovery data are kept in the app’s own sandboxed storage on your device, so that unsaved work can be offered back to you after an unexpected quit.
None of this leaves your device, and none of it is visible to the developer.
Network access
The app makes no network requests. Its interface is loaded from files inside the application bundle, and a Content-Security-Policy restricts it to the bundle’s own origin. There is no server component to this app.
Artificial intelligence features
The app’s assistant runs entirely on your device using Apple’s FoundationModels framework. What you type into it is processed locally and is not transmitted to the developer, to Apple, or to any other party.
Effect Designs
You can load an Effect Design — an .eltrkfx file — to add an
effect. These are JSON documents describing how audio nodes are wired.
They are read from files you choose on your own device, and the app makes
no network request to fetch or run one.
Children
The app is a music tool and does not collect data from anyone, including children.
